After this period, the situation changed as foreign brands returned to the big screen. Two foreign films officially premiered in Vietnam on the same day, May 8th: "The Devil Wears Prada 2" directed by David Frankel and "Mortal Kombat 2: The Hunger Games" directed by Simon McQuoid.

The film "The Devil Wears Prada Part 2" retains the core cast from the first installment, including Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, and Kenneth Branagh. According to Box Office Vietnam's statistics, as of noon on May 8th, the film "The Devil Wears Prada 2" held the third position, after the film "The Five-Toed Pig".

Meanwhile, "Underworld Beauty Salon" - a Vietnamese film directed by Nguyen Huu Hoang, which officially premiered on May 8th, is ranked 5th despite having more screenings than both foreign films.
