On the morning of January 23rd, a delegation of leaders from the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial and Bac Binh District Fatherland Front Committees, led by Comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh – Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council – visited and extended New Year greetings to the rice farmers in Phan Dien and Phan Tien communes (Bac Binh district).
This year, the people of the two communes celebrated Tet (Lunar New Year) in a joyful atmosphere. Although the weather this year was unfavorable, with the early end of the rainy season affecting crop yields, the improved living standards of the people have been achieved thanks to favorable prices. Currently, the price of fresh rice is 9,000 VND/kg and is trending upwards; the price of cassava is 2,800 VND/kg. Livestock have been fully vaccinated and are developing steadily. Furthermore, the implementation of the product consumption linkage model has been emphasized. After hearing a report on the socio -economic situation of the locality, on behalf of the delegation, Comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh – Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council – highly appreciated the efforts of the officials and people of the two ethnic minority communes in Bac Binh district in labor and production, and their solidarity in achieving and exceeding many targets set in the plan. Entering the new year 2024, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee expressed his wish that the government and people of the two communes continue to leverage their internal strengths and overcome difficulties to reduce poverty and gradually increase the number of well-off and wealthy households. He also urged them to develop cultural, artistic, and sports movements; preserve and promote the fine traditional values of the nation to create playgrounds for young people and improve the spiritual life of the people. Along with that, he emphasized the need to gradually and sustainably complete the criteria for new rural development, striving for Phan Dien commune to achieve the new rural development goal by 2024.
On this occasion, the delegation presented gifts to the local community and influential figures in the two communes, and wished the people a warm, joyful, and safe Lunar New Year celebration.
