On the morning of April 27, in Quang Tri province, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and the working delegation offered incense to commemorate heroic martyrs at Quang Tri Citadel, National Cemetery Road 9 and Truong Son National Cemetery.

At the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel Memorial, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, members of the working delegation and leaders of Quang Tri province laid wreaths, offered incense, and paid tribute to the heroic martyrs.

The heroic and resilient fight to protect the Citadel and Quang Tri town during 81 historic days and nights, the fiery summer of 1972, contributed significantly to the victory at the Paris Conference, creating momentum for the general offensive and uprising of the entire nation in the spring of 1975, completely liberating the South and unifying the country. In those 81 fierce days and nights, thousands of liberation soldiers across the country and Quang Tri compatriots fought bravely, sacrificed, and remained forever on this land. Their blood was mixed into the soil for the country to have an independent day, and for the people to be free and happy.

Also this morning, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and members of the delegation offered flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the National Cemetery of Road 9 and the Truong Son National Cemetery, the resting place of tens of thousands of heroic martyrs who fought, bravely, and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation.
