At the Thai Nguyen Center for Supporting the Development of Inclusive Education (Phan Dinh Phung Ward), the Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere was bustling and warm with the “Happy Mid-Autumn Festival” performance by the Center’s students. The carefully prepared performances expressed the joy, determination and desire for integration of children with special circumstances.

Thai Nguyen Center for Supporting the Development of Inclusive Education was established in 1995, is a specialized educational unit with the function of caring for and educating students with disabilities. Each year, the center receives 250 - 270 students with different types of disabilities such as hearing impairment, visual impairment, intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, etc.
Here, students not only learn about culture, career guidance and vocational training, but also practice communication skills and self-service to gradually become independent in life. Many students after graduating have found suitable jobs, contributing to reducing the burden on their families and society.

In the 2025-2026 school year, the center will receive 264 students, organized into 19 classes at 3 levels: preschool, primary and secondary school. Of these, there are 115 hearing-impaired students, 14 visually impaired students, 135 students with intellectual disabilities and autism. The center currently has 61 staff, teachers and employees, always making every effort to care for and educate students, while supporting local schools in inclusive education for children with disabilities.

Speaking at the program, Vice President of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh sent her warm regards and warm feelings to the teachers, staff, employees and all the students of the Center. At the same time, she respectfully acknowledged and praised the deep concern and responsible cooperation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, Department of Education and Training of Thai Nguyen province and organizations and individuals in the community for the cause of inclusive education.

The Vice President of the National Assembly emphasized: With a team of 61 dedicated staff, teachers and employees, and regularly maintained facilities, the Center has created a safe and friendly environment for the children. The valuable thing is that the children not only study culture according to a specialized program with Braille and sign language, but also practice life skills and social skills; receive career guidance through embroidery, sewing, information technology, flower making art, etc. Thanks to that, many children have grown up, have jobs, are independent and integrated into the community, becoming the pride of their families and the Center.
In particular, the Center attaches great importance to early intervention for preschool children, many children after intervention have been able to attend integrated education at general schools. School health care, food hygiene and safety, and periodic health check-ups are maintained regularly, contributing to ensuring the physical and mental health of children, in accordance with the spirit of Resolution 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo, considering caring for, protecting and improving people's health as the top priority task, in which children, especially children with disabilities, need special, comprehensive and sustainable care.
With the motto "In any circumstances, no student is left behind", teachers at special educational institutions such as the Center are accompanying students and parents every day to persevere in overcoming difficulties, contributing to ensuring the implementation of children's right to education, reducing the gap in access to education between groups of children, and writing deeply humane stories.

From the very commendable results as well as the difficulties and challenges that the Center is facing, in order to soon fulfill the task of "Ensuring that each province and city has at least one specialized educational facility up to high school level" according to Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly requested the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province to pay attention and prioritize resources for specialized educational facilities, such as: upgrading functional classrooms, dormitories, kitchens; supplementing learning and rehabilitation equipment. At the same time, focus on the regime for semi-boarding and boarding students at the Center as well as the regime and policies for the team of teachers and staff directly caring for and educating students with disabilities, those who are shouldering heavy but noble responsibilities.
In addition, direct the expansion of the early intervention network, ensure close connection between health, education and social work; carry out screening, counseling, health and psychological monitoring for children right from the community. This is also a practical step to ensure that children receive health care right from the community.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested strengthening training and fostering specialized expertise for the Center's teaching staff; ensuring a reasonable ratio of teachers and students, appropriate to the characteristics of each class to improve the quality of care and education; promoting socialization associated with transparency and efficiency; encouraging organizations, businesses and individuals to accompany the Center long-term, through receiving interns, creating suitable jobs, maintaining scholarships, supporting learning equipment... to create more opportunities and motivation for students on the path to integration and maturity.
“Giving the best to children” is not only a natural sentiment of each individual and each family, but also a consistent and continuous viewpoint of the Party and State, associated with the human development strategy, both the goal and the driving force of the innovation cause. Affirming this consistent viewpoint, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly stated that Resolutions 71 and 72 have opened up important policy breakthroughs, aiming to create a modern and humane educational environment. At the same time, ensuring that children fully exercise their rights to care, nurture, education, learning, health care, and comprehensive care so that every child, regardless of circumstances, has the opportunity to develop comprehensively in terms of physical, mental, intellectual and moral aspects.

The Vice President of the National Assembly believes that with the loving arms of their families, the dedication of their teachers, the companionship of the community and the care of the Party and State, the children will continue to nurture their dreams, train their will, confidently walk firmly on the path of learning and open up for themselves a bright future.
