Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Le Trong Yen works in Cu Jut commune

On the afternoon of July 23, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Le Trong Yen worked with Cu Jut commune to grasp the situation of local government operations after the arrangement.

Cu Jut commune is a new commune-level administrative unit of Lam Dong province, merged from 4 previous commune-level administrative units including: Ea T'ing town, Tam Thang commune, Truc Son commune and Cu K'nia commune. Cu Jut commune currently has a total area of over 10,438 ^km2 , population of nearly 48,900 people.

Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Le Trong Yen chaired a working session with leaders of Cu Jut Commune Party Committee.

According to the report of the Party Committee of Cu Jut commune, after its establishment, the Party Committee of the commune directed agencies and organizations to quickly stabilize the organizational structure.

The Cu Jut Commune Public Administration Service Center has officially operated since July 1, 2025, located at the headquarters of the Cu Jut District People's Committee (before the arrangement).

To date, the center has received 394 applications, including 300 land applications, 86 civil status, judicial and certification applications, and 8 social security applications. The center has processed and returned 65 applications for certification to citizens. There are 329 applications that are under processing.

Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cu Jut commune Ngo Quoc Phong reported on the operation of local government after the rearrangement.

Handling administrative procedures at the center is difficult due to the lack of some administrative procedures, human resources, and connections. However, the center has been serving the needs of handling procedures for the people well, and there have been no negative comments from the people.

Regarding the preparation for the Congress, Secretary of the Party Committee of Cu Jut Commune Nghiem Hong Quang affirmed that preparations for propaganda, facilities, security, and service for the Congress have been completed. The Party Committee of the Commune has decided to summon 250 official delegates to attend the Congress.

At the working session, the leaders of the Party Committee of Cu Jut commune reported to the working delegation about the difficulties and problems in the process of operating the two-level local government.

Cu Jut Commune proposed that the Provincial People's Committee pay attention to and remove some difficulties and obstacles in urban planning, resources for infrastructure investment, equipment and vehicles.

The locality also recommended that the province soon complete administrative procedures, upgrade technical infrastructure and organize training for officials on science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.

Deputy Director of the Department of Finance Pham Van Bay discussed difficulties related to the field of responsibility.

At the meeting, leaders of departments and branches guided Cu Jut commune to remove some difficulties and obstacles in the initial period of operating the two-level local government. The working group acknowledged the initial difficulties in the operation of the commune-level public administrative service center.

Currently, the province is actively completing the list of missing administrative procedures, and reviewing and synthesizing the system of machinery and equipment to have a direction for upgrading and meeting the needs in the new situation. Currently, the Provincial People's Committee has assigned specialized departments to develop a plan for professional training and education for the commune level.

Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Le Trong Yen requested that local authorities must improve their capacity to serve the people.

Speaking at the meeting, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Trong Yen acknowledged the efforts of Cu Jut commune since the operation of the new administrative unit. Cu Jut is the gateway to Dak Lak province, with many advantages for urban planning and construction. The locality needs to promote its advantages, utilize resources to upgrade urban infrastructure and invest in key projects.

For difficult objective problems, Lam Dong province is having synchronous solutions to solve them. As for the subjective problems in human resources and service capacity, the People's Committee of Cu Jut commune must immediately overcome them. "The two-level government needs and must put the people at the center, reform procedures and serve quickly and transparently," emphasized comrade Le Trong Yen.
