The working delegation led by Comrade Nguyen Minh Luan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, conducted a survey at the national historical relic Sac Tu Quan Am Co Tu (Buddha Pagoda).
Venerable Thich Phuoc Minh, abbot of Sac Tu Quan Am Co Tu, said the pagoda has a long history, imbued with traditional cultural beauty, attracting many tourists from all over. During the resistance war years, the pagoda also had a shelter, contributing to the shelter and protection of revolutionary soldiers.

Over the past time, the monks and Buddhists here have always made efforts to preserve and promote cultural values, creating a space for religious and spiritual activities for a large number of Buddhists. However, the old main hall, which has existed for more than 100 years, is now degraded and needs to be restored and embellished.

Most Venerable Thach Ha, Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ca Mau province, expressed his joy when this religious and cultural project received the attention of the Party and the State. He also shared that since the merger, the Executive Committee has encountered many difficulties due to lack of office space and limited facilities; at the same time, he hopes to receive support to make Buddhist activities in the locality more and more favorable.

Speaking at the survey, comrade Nguyen Minh Luan, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: "Sac Tu Quan Am ancient pagoda is the pride of the culture and history of Ca Mau province. In particular, the pagoda used to be a place to shelter and nurture many revolutionary soldiers during the fierce resistance years. However, although it has been recognized as a national historical relic for nearly 25 years, the value of this place has not been promoted appropriately."
Comrade Nguyen Minh Luan wishes to preserve and promote the cultural and historical values of the pagoda.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that through this survey, the province will develop a plan to restore and embellish the old main hall of the pagoda. The restoration must ensure that the original is kept intact, preserving the architectural and cultural essence of the relic. Along with that, it is necessary to build an information board introducing anecdotes and stories associated with the pagoda and historical events, combined with the application of simulation technology to help preserve and spread the historical value of this place for a long time.
