At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu Viet Van said that, in addition to focusing on economic development, in recent years, Vinh Phuc has always focused on implementing foreign affairs activities well. Specifically, implementing well the foreign policy of the Party and State; maintaining and constantly expanding friendly cooperation activities with foreign localities; strengthening economic diplomacy activities, attracting investment, promoting trade and tourism; proactively integrating internationally; enhancing the promotion of the province's image to domestic and international friends.
According to the leader of Vinh Phuc Department of Foreign Affairs, the results of the 2022 investigation showed that the whole province had more than 12,000 people migrating abroad for the purpose of settling, exporting labor, studying, working and doing business...
As of November 2023, there are 10 foreign non-governmental organizations operating in the province with 11 projects in the fields of wildlife conservation, microfinance, rural development, education, and health; the annual disbursement value reaches nearly 2 million USD.
In cultural diplomacy, the province has carried out cultural promotion activities through reception activities in political diplomacy, economic diplomacy, and people-to-people diplomacy; promoted propaganda and promotion of the province's cultural and tourism values; coordinated with embassies of other countries and central ministries and branches to organize cultural exchange events, etc.

Sharing in this field, the leader of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Quang Nam province said: According to the survey results in 2020 - 2021, the whole province has 6,670 Quang Nam people living, working and studying abroad. Every year, in the province, there are 40 - 50 foreign non-governmental organizations operating with about 70 - 80 projects and diverse in fields; the disbursement value reaches about 150 - 200 billion VND/year; the number of non-governmental visitors to Quang Nam each year fluctuates from 1,500 - 2,000 people.
Cultural diplomacy activities in Quang Nam are quite vibrant and annually organize cultural exchange festivals with other countries; host programs of the Central Government; OCOP products and promotion of tourism cooperation with the international community are also integrated with cultural diplomacy activities.
With many similarities in the work of overseas Vietnamese, foreign non-governmental management and cultural diplomacy, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu Viet Van and Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan affirmed that the exchange and sharing of experiences between the two provinces in this field is of great significance, helping the two provinces to effectively carry out the work of overseas Vietnamese, foreign non-governmental management and cultural diplomacy in the coming time.
