Vu Thi Trang, a candidate taking the exam at Nguyen Thi Giang High School (Vinh Tuong), said: “This morning, I took the two elective subjects – it was the last exam session, so I felt both relieved and a little nervous. This morning I took the two elective subjects, English and History – both subjects I chose based on my strengths.”
I found this year's History exam closely followed the curriculum, especially the 12th-grade material. The English exam was manageable for graduation but included some difficult, highly differentiating questions, so to achieve a high score, candidates needed strong reading comprehension and analytical skills.
Despite feeling a little nervous, I did my best in every exam. After today, I feel like I've overcome a huge milestone in my student life. I hope the results will be as expected so I can apply to my dream university.
I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the teachers and the school for always accompanying, supporting, and encouraging us throughout this journey. The exam days were conducted very seriously and safely, and I felt the utmost care and support from the teachers and staff at the exam site.”
Nguyen Bao Phuc, a candidate taking the exam at Nguyen Viet Xuan High School (Vinh Tuong), said: “In the final exam session, I took the two elective subjects, Chemistry and Biology - which are also the two subjects I focused on studying most thoroughly throughout my 12th grade year. I found this year's exam questions quite close to the curriculum, not too tricky but with a clear differentiation in difficulty.”
In my opinion, students who have a solid grasp of basic knowledge can achieve 6-7 points. My dream is to become a doctor, so I hope to achieve the best possible results in the exam so I can apply to medical school. The road ahead is long, but I believe that every effort today is a step closer to my future. After submitting my final exam paper, I felt truly relieved and emotional. Regardless of the outcome, I think the important thing is that I tried my best.”
This afternoon, more than 300 independent candidates registered to take the exam under the 2006 General Education Program will take the foreign language exam, with a time limit of 60 minutes.
