At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc respectfully conveyed Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh 's regards to the Spanish Prime Minister and congratulated Spain on hosting the FfD4 Conference, believing that the success of the Conference will contribute significantly to shaping frameworks and priorities for financial cooperation, accelerating the implementation of the United Nations' sustainable development goals (SDGs).
Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc expressed his delight at the increasingly positive development of the bilateral relationship in many areas, demonstrated through regular high-level visits and meetings, especially the recent visit to Vietnam by the Spanish Prime Minister.
Welcoming the Vietnamese government for sending a high-ranking leader to attend the FfD4 Conference, the Spanish Prime Minister reaffirmed his appreciation and high interest in promoting cooperation with Vietnam, one of Spain's priority partners in the Southeast Asia region; reiterating the contents discussed with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh during his recent visit to Vietnam and at the meeting on the occasion of attending the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference in France (June 2025), stating that the two countries still have a lot of room to promote cooperation, especially in the economic field.
The two leaders agreed to continue directing ministries and branches to urgently implement important results and cooperation agreements agreed upon by high-ranking leaders of the two countries.
On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc reiterated Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's invitation to Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez as well as senior Spanish leaders to attend the signing ceremony of the United Nations Convention on Cybercrime Prevention and Control in Hanoi in October 2025./.
