The Government Office has issued a Notice summarizing the conclusions of Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau at the meeting on the implementation of activities of the Steering Committee for the overall review of the system of legal normative documents.
At the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and participation of ministries, sectors, and localities in achieving some initial results in the comprehensive review of the system of legal documents.
The Deputy Prime Minister also criticized some ministries, sectors, and localities for not being truly proactive, not paying enough attention to directing and organizing the implementation, or not fully carrying out the tasks, or for implementing them in a superficial manner.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested that ministers, heads of departments, and chairmen of provinces and cities uphold their responsibilities, promote the role of leaders, and be accountable to the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Government, and the Prime Minister for the progress and quality of the comprehensive review of the system of legal documents in their respective ministries, departments, and localities.
Mr. Chau noted the need to focus resources on reviewing current legal regulations in order to resolutely remove obstacles and bottlenecks in the institutional and legal framework, contributing to achieving double-digit socio-economic growth.
During the review process, agencies proactively diversified methods of soliciting opinions, focusing on gathering feedback and critical opinions from citizens, businesses, associations, affected parties, officials, and civil servants, ensuring completion within the deadlines set by the Steering Committee and the directives of the Government and the Prime Minister.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, and the Ministry of Public Security to urgently compile and categorize policy recommendations and practical problems arising within their respective areas of management and send them to ministries, sectors, and localities for research and review before June 5th.
The Ministry of Justice is focusing on developing criteria for evaluating review results to ensure transparency; improving research working groups in each field; and mobilizing a team of experts with in-depth expertise and practical experience.
