Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha visited and encouraged Ha Tinh people affected by storm No. 5.

Immediately after chairing a meeting of the Steering Committee for Storm Response No. 5, on the morning of August 26, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha visited and presented gifts to support people, encouraged local forces and inspected the situation of overcoming consequences in Ha Tinh province.

In Loc Ha commune (Ha Tinh province), the Deputy Prime Minister visited and encouraged the family of Mr. Nguyen Quang Tu, a poor household in Hoa Binh village and the family of Mrs. Tran Thi Sach, a policy beneficiary in Yen Dinh village. These are two of hundreds of households in Loc Ha commune that were severely affected by storm No. 5. All families had their houses and auxiliary structures blown off or severely damaged...

Here, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his sympathy and encouraged the families to soon overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.

According to a quick report from Loc Ha commune, in the area, storm No. 5 caused about 1,000 houses to have their roofs blown off or damaged; many infrastructure works were affected... Immediately after the storm, Ha Tinh province supported each commune with 100 million VND to buy necessary supplies and equipment; police and military forces were deployed to support people to overcome the situation right from the first hours after the storm.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha praised the locality's "4 on-the-spot" spirit and requested a full review and statistics of affected households; clearly classifying policy beneficiaries, poor households, vulnerable people, and homeless households to have timely support policies from the Central, provincial and local levels. Communes need to proactively arrange human resources and assign forces to be in charge of each village and residential area, ensuring that all affected households are assisted.

Next, the Deputy Prime Minister visited, encouraged, and sympathized with the family of Mr. Nguyen Quang Trung in Dat Do village (Truong Luu commune, Ha Tinh province). Mr. Trung's family is a poor household, and had just received support from the Ministry of Public Security to build a house, however, storm No. 5 caused severe damage to the house.

The Deputy Prime Minister also visited and encouraged teachers and students of Nga Loc Kindergarten (Truong Luu commune).

At the destinations, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha sympathized with the people's losses caused by storm No. 5; at the same time, encouraged people and teachers to make efforts to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives and teaching activities.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that local Party committees and authorities need to mobilize maximum human and material resources to support people, especially families in difficult circumstances, policy families, and the disadvantaged, to quickly repair their houses, not let people lack safe housing, and help people stabilize their lives soon after the storm.

The Deputy Prime Minister also encouraged localities to promote proactiveness, flexibility and creativity in organizing the implementation of support policies, in the spirit of closely following the State's orientation, in accordance with the actual conditions of each locality.
