The patient had a growing mass on the right side of his forehead, accompanied by headaches, blurred vision in his right eye, and frequent watering of his eyes. Previously, the patient had visited many places and was diagnosed with a benign skull tumor, with a non-contrast CT scan of his brain.

At An Sinh Hospital, the patient was admitted in a conscious state, with no weakness in the limbs, headache, blurred vision in the right eye and continuous tearing, and no optic nerve paralysis.

According to Master - Doctor Khong Le Minh Tri, Department of Examination, An Sinh Hospital, the results of clinical examination, brain CT and brain MRI images showed that the tumor developed in the right frontal skull bone, accompanied by a thickening reaction of the meninges in the right frontal region, quite large in size about 8x7cm, invading the right frontal skull bone, spreading to the skull base and right eye socket, causing the patient to have continuous right eye tears.

"Neurosurgeons consulted with radiologists, suspecting a meningioma growing in the skull bone. This is a rare brain tumor in the world , accounting for about 13% - 26% of all intracranial tumors and about 1% to 2% of all meningioma types. Through the gross image when the tumor was surgically removed, the tumor was a hard, thick mass, about 8cm x 7cm x 4cm in size, with a rough surface and infiltration of cells in the skull bone," Master - Doctor Khong Le Minh Tri informed.

At the same time, Master-Doctor Khong Le Minh Tri said that this is a rare clinical case, very difficult to diagnose. After more than 2 hours of surgery, neurosurgeons and anesthesiologists successfully removed almost the entire tumor and reconstructed the patient's skull. The patient is currently recovering well after surgery and has been discharged after 7 days of treatment.
