HCMC cuisine from popular to luxurious conquers Michelin stars

HCMC – Michelin-recognized restaurants possess signature dishes, combining tradition and modernity, providing a diverse and rich culinary experience.
Recently, the culinary industry in Ho Chi Minh City has 26 more restaurants listed in the Michelin guide. Names such as Mien Saigon, Bep Nguoi Hoi An, Banh Xeo 46A, Man Moi… are probably familiar to some Ho Chi Minh City residents as well as tourists . With a unique blend of many types such as night food streets, street food, vegetarian food, macrobiotic food..., besides the fine dining restaurant system, street food stalls are also a characteristic of Ho Chi Minh City. Beef noodle soup has long been a familiar dish not only for the people of Ho Chi Minh City but also a culinary destination chosen by many tourists when visiting the city. Beef noodle soup restaurant 14B (District 4, Ho Chi Minh City), does not have a spacious space like many other restaurants but makes many diners linger thanks to its rich, unique flavor. According to the owner, although the restaurant has only been in operation for 4 years, it has been fortunate to receive support from many customers. It sells more than 500 bowls every day. Besides street food, vegetarian cuisine is also increasingly asserting its position on the world culinary map as well as in Vietnam. Du Yen Vegetarian Restaurant (Thu Duc City) is one of 47 restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City to receive the Michelin Selected 2024 award (selected by Michelin). The restaurant has a cool garden space, a variety of vegetarian dishes, suitable for the tastes of locals and tourists. Cantonese cuisine, China has been present in Ho Chi Minh City quite early and quickly attracted the attention of local people who came to experience it. In Ho Chi Minh City, Long Trieu – The Royal Pavilion is famous for its Cantonese cuisine. It is also the only restaurant to be upgraded from Michelin Selected to a 1-star Michelin restaurant. According to Chef Wong Fu Keung, the restaurant attracts customers with its three-headed Australian abalone dish, which has a fragrant sauce made from Yunnan salted pork legs, creating a natural saltiness.
