Phu Quoc welcomes cruise ship Costa Serena with 2,700 international passengers

International tourists visit Phu Quoc pearl island, afternoon of February 16.

On the afternoon of February 16, the Italian cruise ship Costa Serena docked at Phu Quoc port, carrying about 2,700 international tourists, including 2,000 from Thailand, 500 from India, and a number of tourists from other countries. Notably, this tour will last overnight, giving tourists the opportunity to explore Phu Quoc at night.

During their stay, international visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the local people's lives, enjoy special cuisine and shop for the island's typical products. They will also visit many famous places such as Grand World Phu Quoc, Hoang Hon town, participate in unique shows and admire the special fireworks display.

According to statistics from the Department of Tourism of Kien Giang province, in 2024, Phu Quoc welcomed more than 25,000 tourists from Thailand and more than 30,000 tourists from India, demonstrating strong growth in the number of international visitors to the pearl island.
