The compensation price has not been agreed upon
Song Cau Town is one of the localities in Phu Yen province that has a Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh section project running through the North - South Expressway Project. However, the section through the town still has land, mainly residential houses.
Currently, this locality still has 36 households that have not yet handed over their premises, mainly houses. Song Cau town built 5 resettlement areas for people to clear to build the North-South expressway, but so far only 3 resettlement areas have been completed, the remaining 2 areas are continuing construction.
Mr. Le Xuan Hien, Deputy Director in charge of Song Cau Town Land Fund Development Center, said that currently, some people in the area of clearance have not yet agreed with the compensation price and have not received compensation.
According to Mr. Hien, there are many reasons leading to the slow completion of expressway clearance, including the number of households affected is very large, about 1200 households.

“Currently, in Song Cau town, especially in Xuan Loc commune, there are still problems, mainly households, the number of houses affected is very large. Another reason is the origin of the land. Previously, during the management process, some households used it for improper purposes, so the process of reviewing and investigating documents led to delays," Mr. Le said. Xuan Hien said.
The North-South expressway project through Phu Yen province has a length of more than 90 km, so far only 88,42 km has been handed over. Tuy An districts, Dong Hoa town, Song Cau town have not yet completed site clearance and have been late many times. The reason for the delay in handing over the site is that there is no resettlement land, slow approval of the site clearance plan, and organizing a lottery for resettlement land for households to clear...
Focus on solving the problem completely
Mr. Le Tan Ho, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Yen province, requested the Chairman of the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities in the province to urgently complete the resettlement areas, ensuring the handover of the premises on time.
In addition, Mr. Ho also emphasized that the heads of localities are fully responsible to the Provincial People's Committee if there is a delay in progress as required.
“By March 31, Song Cau town must hand over the entire premises. Now there is another problem: the technical infrastructure, mainly electricity. For the electrical system that still has problems, it can be constructed, but it's still difficult for you to do, making it difficult to be proactive. It is expected that by the end of April 3, we will have to hand over all the premises to investors. It may be slow, but we will try our best because the start is too slow," said Mr. Le Tan Ho.
At a recent actual inspection of the implementation of the North-South Expressway through Phu Yen province, Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang said that currently, Phu Yen province has the largest land problem in two areas. The weak soil is Xuan Loc commune, Song Cau town and Ky Lo bridge area, Tuy An district. In which, there are 2 ground problems related to the issue of deciding the project progress: weak soil and bridge construction.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thang requested Phu Yen province to quickly and completely handle the site clearance, ensuring maximum benefits for the people.
“Although the amount of land that has not yet been cleared is not much, I suggest that Phu Yen province focus on completely resolving this issue. During the implementation process, when we have applied all the beneficial things, but if there are cases of deliberate delay and refusal to hand over, we definitely request the province to organize enforcement and make decisions. List this. We are very clear, the rights must be guaranteed to the maximum for the people. In the remaining cases of procrastination, we must handle them drastically, otherwise it will affect the circulation of the entire route," Mr. Nguyen said. Van Thang said.
