Recently, the Ho Chi Minh City branch of the Ho Chi Minh Museum held a ceremony to celebrate its 45th anniversary (1979 - 2024). The ceremony also included the presentation of the decision of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the recognition of the Ho Chi Minh City branch of the Ho Chi Minh Museum as a Grade I museum in the Vietnamese museum system; the opening of the special exhibition Ho Chi Minh - His name shines forever also received attention.
At the ceremony, Ms. Luu Thi Tuyet Trinh - Director of Ho Chi Minh Museum, Ho Chi Minh City branch, reviewed the 45-year journey of formation and development of the museum. Ho Chi Minh Museum, Ho Chi Minh City branch has made effective contributions to the cause of building and developing the city; contributing a positive voice on the ideological, cultural front,educating revolutionary patriotism, and enhancing national pride for many generations of Vietnamese people.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran The Thuan - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City affirmed that the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Ho Chi Minh City has become one of the educational places about national history, ideology, morality and revolutionary life of President Ho Chi Minh in Ho Chi Minh City. The Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City highly appreciated and recognized the achievements of the museum in recent years, commended the sense of responsibility, dynamism and creativity of the staff and workers, contributing positively to the preservation and promotion of the cultural heritage values of the city's cultural sector.
According to Mr. Tran The Thuan, recently, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City and the Ho Chi Minh City branch of the Ho Chi Minh City Museum have consulted the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to expand the operating space and received approval. The Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City said that the project will be expanded to an area equivalent to the current area, implemented in 2 phases.

"In phase 1, the Department assigned relevant units to develop a design plan, submit it to the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, and get opinions from the city's departments and branches, and basically get consensus. In the near future, we will carry out phase 1, specifically renovating the landscape of the existing space as well as restoring the Amiral Latouche Tréville ship (the ship that carried Uncle Ho to find a way to save the country) at a scale of 1:1. On the ship, we will design and restore the kitchen, Uncle Ho's former workplace, as well as design additional space to display documents and images of his journey over nearly 30 years. In phase 2, we will continue to expand the area towards Saigon port; design and expand the exhibition space. We are preparing a dossier to request recognition of the Ho Chi Minh Museum, Ho Chi Minh City branch, as a national historical relic," Mr. Thuan added.

The Ho Chi Minh - His Name Lives Forever special topic introduces 39 artifacts, which are unique works of art from the collection of the Ho Chi Minh Museum, Ho Chi Minh City branch and the Ho Chi Minh Museum, Thua Thien - Hue .
Among them, the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Thua Thien - Hue brought 20 paintings and sculptures by artists. Notable works include the propaganda painting Uncle Ho still marches with us, created in 1970 by two artists Nguyen Thu and Huy Oanh. The portrait of President Ho Chi Minh drawn on a typewriter by Ngo Manh Tien was created in 1975. Notably, among the works on display are also works by two foreign authors: Robert C. Ekins with a statue of President Ho Chi Minh and author Katanandov Sergey Leonidovich with the work Portrait of Nguyen Ai Quoc in 1923.

Ho Chi Minh Museum, Ho Chi Minh City branch, introduces 17 extremely unique artifacts from materials to forms of expression such as: oil painting, reverse glass painting, gemstones, plastic, leather, sand, hair, rice, stainless steel, telephone wire, granite... Among them, many authors are famous people with many works about Uncle Ho such as painter Hoang Hoa Mai, artisans Y Lan, Dinh Gia Dien, Do Dinh Cuong.
Each work in the exhibition space Ho Chi Minh - His Name Shines Forever demonstrates the authors' research and discovery of materials, techniques, and elaborate writing styles, as well as the artistic expression of the characteristics and demeanor of the leader's portrait.
