One week after falling, patient Trieu Quy Phuong (born in 2020), a Dao ethnic in Nam Kem village, Vo Lao commune, was tilted to the right, in pain, had difficulty walking, and took several steps.
After examination, the patient was diagnosed with scoliosis, shoulder and chest imbalance, hip stiffness, dislocation and subluxation of the right hip due to recurrence of the old injury since 2023.

After 2 weeks of treatment, restoring motor function using physical therapy combined with occupational therapy, patient Trieu Quy Phuong has fully recovered and can walk normally.
Mr. Trieu Ong Lua, the patient's father, said: "When he first fell, the family thought that we just needed to stay at home, boil water, bathe, and massage him to get better. Later, we saw that his spine was misaligned, and he walked with one foot short and one foot high, so we took him to the doctor. After treatment, he is now walking normally. My family is very happy!"
Speaking more about this case, Dr. Trinh Thi Nga, Department of Internal Medicine - Pediatrics, Provincial Rehabilitation Hospital said: "Through examination, we discovered that the child not only had new injuries but also had sequelae from the previous fall. The child had limited hip mobility, and a crooked gait due to one leg being long and the other short, causing the spine to become curved over time."
According to Dr. Nga, doctors and technicians consulted to develop the most appropriate rehabilitation regimen. After 2 weeks of rehabilitation, the patient's hip joint returned to normal position, the 2 limbs were balanced, the child walked and recovered well."

According to doctors, scoliosis can cause many serious consequences such as lung and heart damage, chronic back pain... greatly affecting quality of life.
In addition to external factors, children can also have scoliosis due to genetics and other spontaneous causes such as carrying heavy school bags, sitting in the wrong posture, etc. When there are signs of spinal curvature, the patient needs to be examined, the cause determined correctly and appropriate solutions found.
