This morning, July 24, the People's Committee of Ban Co Ward started to renovate 16 alleys in the ward. These are degraded alleys with damaged road surfaces, causing unsafety for people. These alleys are routes connecting many roads, reducing traffic jams and congestion during rush hours.

Mr. Huynh Gia Giang - Chairman of Ban Co Ward People's Committee - said that these are projects to upgrade traffic infrastructure, contributing to urban beautification and improving the quality of life for people.

The projects are also part of the series of activities to welcome the first Congress of Ban Co Ward Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

There are 2 alley clusters that will be maintained and renovated in Ward 2 and Ward 5, old District 3.

Old alleys of Ward 5 such as alley 188 Vo Van Tan, alley 382 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, alley 2 Cao Thang, alley 263 Nguyen Dinh Chieu. The total construction length is 642.14m. The total investment is about 2 billion 968 million VND.

Old alleys of Ward 2 such as alley 543 Nguyen Dinh Chieu, alley 109 Nguyen Thien Thuat. The total construction length is 441.71m. Total investment is 3 billion 054 million VND.

"I also request that the investor, construction unit, supervision consultant, Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department of the ward coordinate closely and strictly comply with regulations on project management, construction quality, labor safety and environmental sanitation.

The role of the Community Supervision Board is especially important. This is the force that supervises the entire construction process, to ensure transparency, correct design, correct quantity, and correct quality.

The Board needs to promptly report any arising issues to the Ward People's Committee and the investor for timely handling and adjustment," Mr. Giang emphasized at the groundbreaking ceremony.

The construction is expected to last for 3 months. After the ceremony, the leaders of Ban Co ward also talked with the people. The ward promised to speed up the construction as soon as possible to avoid affecting the lives and businesses of the people.
