This year, observing the water level and warnings from the ward, my family moved rice and other items to higher ground to avoid damage.”

Many households also prepared boats to move when flooded. Hai Phu brick factory, My Tuong residential group also mobilized high-capacity pumps to pump water to prevent flooding and protect production.
Immediately upon receiving the warning of the risk of major floods, the Tan An Ward Party Committee issued a document, directing comprehensive work on prevention and control of storm No. 11. The Ward People's Committee also quickly deployed working groups to inspect the reality at 42 residential groups, especially the areas located in the Lang Son-Tri Yen dike area. Important works such as schools, medical stations, pumping stations and agricultural production areas were all thoroughly checked.

Faced with the situation of the river water continuing to rise, the Standing Party Committee and the Civil Defense Command of the ward have agreed on a plan to discharge floodwaters in the Lang Son - Tri Yen dike area. Since October 7, the residential groups in the flood discharge area (13 residential groups) including: Tan My, Dong Thuong, Ngoc Lam, My Tuong, Tam Son, Hong Son, Long Son, Tan Phuong, Long Khanh, Duc Thanh, Nam Bac Thanh, Duc Thinh, Son Thuong have been requested to urgently evacuate people and property to a safe place.

Police forces, militia, and self-management groups were mobilized to assist in evacuation, ensure traffic safety, and ensure security and order. The local public address system continuously broadcasted announcements and warnings to the people.
According to Comrade Dao Cong Hung, Secretary of the Ward Party Committee, the ward has so far ensured absolute safety for people, but the heavy floods have caused landslides and landslides in some areas and on roads. In the agricultural sector, storms combined with heavy rains have destroyed and flooded more than 250 hectares of rice, vegetables and aquaculture ponds.
The Ward Civil Defense Command has directed residential groups to inspect, count the damage and deploy initial remedial measures such as covering local overflows with earthen sacks and combining tarpaulins in low-lying areas.
