Tinh Bien Ward proactively responds to storms and floods and protects the summer-autumn rice crop in 2025

On September 29, comrade Nguyen Hong Duc, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Tinh Bien Ward (An Giang Province) led a working delegation to inspect storm response work and protect summer-autumn rice production in 2025 in the ward.

The delegation inspected some key dykes in the Cay Sung go area, dyke line 23; inspected the 2025 summer-autumn rice production situation; and learned about the activities of Xuan Binh Cooperative and An Nong II Cooperative.

Through the inspection, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Tinh Bien Ward Nguyen Hong Duc requested the Ward People's Committee and specialized agencies to continue to monitor and regularly update developments of storms, flood levels, etc. to proactively deploy response measures with the spirit of "4 on-site".

In addition, promote propaganda for people to proactively respond to storms and floods; strengthen inspection of rural roads associated with protecting weak dyke positions; carry out well the work of pumping and drainage, preventing flooding, minimizing damage caused by storms and floods. Continue to propagate and mobilize people to shift the structure of agricultural production; encourage the development of more production models during the flood season for flooded areas, outside the dykes to create more livelihoods, jobs and income for people during the flood months.

For Xuan Binh Cooperative and An Nong II Cooperative, Party Secretary and Chairman of Tinh Bien Ward People's Council Nguyen Hong Duc discussed and suggested developing more types of services such as: supplying rice seeds, agricultural materials; applying science and technology; applying drones to spray pesticides..., contributing to reducing input costs, improving quality and production efficiency; increasing profits for farmers.
