The urban landscape of Viet Hung ward is changing noticeably day by day. The transportation system, technical infrastructure, and cultural institutions are being gradually improved, not only facilitating the daily lives and travel of residents but also opening up opportunities for socio -economic development in the locality.
After more than 5 months of construction, the road in the Ha Khau 7 and Ha Khau 8 resettlement areas of Viet Hung ward has been completed and put into use. The road includes a main axis and branches leading into the residential area, with a total length of over 830 meters and a total investment of over 16 billion VND. The project contributes to overcoming the deterioration and traffic safety issues, improving the quality of life and safety for residents. The entire road surface is paved with asphalt concrete; traffic safety signs and markings are installed along the entire route; and the electrical and lighting systems are underground, ensuring urban aesthetics.

The completion and commissioning of the project has brought joy and excitement to the people. Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet, from Ha Khau 7 neighborhood, shared: "Before, the road was rough and lacked lighting at night, making it very dangerous for people, especially children, to travel. Since the local authorities invested in it, the people now have a much more spacious and convenient road. Everyone reminds each other to keep the road clean and beautiful."
In 2025, Viet Hung ward will implement 12 projects to renovate and upgrade urban infrastructure in residential areas with a total investment of over 150 billion VND. To date, 8 out of 12 projects have been completed and put into use, with the remaining 4 projects expected to be completed by the end of May 2026. The projects implemented are all essential items, contributing to the comprehensive improvement of the transportation system and technical infrastructure in the area. The drainage system, sidewalks, and green spaces have been upgraded, gradually meeting the criteria of a Type I urban area; while also facilitating trade and socio-economic development.

Alongside investing in essential infrastructure, Viet Hung ward focuses on developing cultural institutions, creating focal points for the central urban area. Notable examples include the project to renovate the technical infrastructure of the Gieng Day 6 neighborhood cultural center and the project to invest in the construction of a recreational and sports area in Ha Khau 5, comprising green parks, playgrounds, sports facilities, lighting systems, and other supporting structures. The total investment for these two projects is nearly 3.8 billion VND.
Following the motto "The State and the people work together," during the implementation of projects, the people in the area have always wholeheartedly cooperated with the local Party committee and government, contributing to accelerating the construction progress. More than 400 households in Viet Hung ward have responded and participated by donating land, relocating fences, and donating trees to facilitate construction. As a result, the projects have been implemented quickly, on schedule, and with guaranteed quality.
Mr. Pham Xuan Than, Party Secretary and Head of Gieng Day 1 residential area, Viet Hung ward, said: When the plan to upgrade and renovate the road in the residential area was announced, 51 households in the area agreed to donate land and structures on the land to serve the construction of the 680m long road, with a total donated area of more than 2,000m². After completion, the residential area is greener, cleaner, and more beautiful, and transportation is more convenient, so the residents are very happy.

Mr. Pham Van Thu, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Viet Hung Ward, said: "In implementing the province's policy on improving urban quality and residential area infrastructure, in 2026, Viet Hung Ward will continue to focus resources on investing in 6 projects with a total budget of nearly 108 billion VND. The locality will urge contractors to ensure construction progress, quickly bring the projects into effective operation, aiming to synchronize technical infrastructure, expand urban development space, improve quality of life and attract investment."
The completion and commissioning of these public works projects not only contribute to improving the quality of life for the people but also create a strong transformation in the urban landscape of Viet Hung ward. This is also an important driving force contributing to the completion of technical infrastructure, promoting local socio-economic development, and contributing to the overall development goals of Quang Ninh province.
