(CLO) The 2024 Porsche Taycan pure electric sports car has higher performance, accelerating to 100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds and a range of up to 678 km.
The 2024 Taycan is the most powerful pure electric car of the Porsche sports car brand to date. The mid-life upgraded version of the 2024 Porsche Taycan has arrived in the Vietnamese market less than a year after its launch in the global market.

The design of the 2024 Taycan has not changed much compared to the previous version. The most noticeable new feature on the exterior is the headlight cluster equipped with optional HD LED Matrix with 4 characteristic identification points. The Porsche logo on the strip has been revamped with a sculpted design with a glass effect and for the first time, customers can choose the lighting effect when entering or exiting the car.
The interior space retains the same familiar details as the previous version, except for the new color scheme. The car is equipped with 4 LCD screens in the cockpit.

The German automaker focused on improving the performance of the all-electric sports sedan. The new electric motor on the rear axle of the Taycan has an additional 80 kW of power and is 10.4 kg lighter. Thanks to this improvement, all new Taycan models can accelerate much faster than previous versions. For example, the Taycan and Taycan Turbo S only need 4.8 and 2.4 seconds respectively to accelerate to 100 km/h, 0.6 and 0.4 seconds faster than their predecessors.
The new “Push-to-Pass” function in the Sport Chrono Package on certain variants increases the system output by up to 70 kW for 10 seconds at the push of a button. The greater acceleration is mainly due to the higher system output. For example, the output of the entry-level Taycan is 60 kW higher. In the Taycan Turbo S, an additional 140 kW can be added using Launch Control, taking the system output of the top model to 700 kW/952 hp.
The 2024 Porsche Taycan also has a much better range. According to the WLTP standard, the 2024 Taycan's range has increased to 678 km, which is an increase of 175 km or 35% compared to the previous model. At DC fast charging stations, the 2024 Taycan variants can be charged from 10-80% in about 18 minutes.
The standard version of the 2024 Taycan has a capacity of 408 horsepower and 410 Nm of torque. The most powerful version is the Taycan Turbo GT with a capacity of up to 789 horsepower and 1,240 Nm of torque. With Launch Control mode (optional), the car reaches a capacity of up to 1,034 horsepower and the ability to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.3 seconds.

Similar to the 2024 Panamera model that has just been launched in the Vietnamese market, the new Taycan also upgrades the suspension system to a two-chamber, two-valve pneumatic type. Customers can choose the advanced Porsche Active Ride (PAR) suspension system on all-wheel drive versions (from the S version and above).
The new suspension system keeps the Taycan body level, even when braking, steering and accelerating. When driving on a flat surface, the system absorbs almost all forces. In off-road driving situations, the Porsche Active Ride suspension ensures perfect traction by distributing the load evenly across the wheels. In the appropriate mode, the suspension can also minimise roll and roll movements to reduce the acceleration forces on the vehicle's passengers.
For the first time, the Porsche Taycan sedan has an optional Weissach package with bespoke details to optimize aerodynamics like a racing car. The car has lightweight ceramic composite brakes, 21-inch Turbo GT wheels, Pirelli P Zero R high-performance tires, lightweight carbon fiber panels to replace the rear seats...
In addition, the new Taycan variants are also equipped with the Sport Chrono package and the Performance Battery Plus option, which has a special button to activate the push-to-pass feature.
The entire Taycan range features a more extensive standard equipment list, including Comfort Access, 14-way power front seats with memory function, ParkAssist with surround camera, 4-zone automatic climate control, Bose surround sound system and 20-inch Turbo Aero wheels.
The 2024 Porsche Taycan is distributed in the Vietnamese market with 8 different variants. Of which, the standard Taycan version has a retail price from 4.62 billion VND, the Taycan 4S version has a selling price of 5.5 billion VND, the Taycan Turbo version has a price of 7.46 billion VND, the Taycan Turbo S version has a price of 8.69 billion VND, the Taycan Turbo GT version has a price of 9.51 billion VND, the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo version has a price of 5.06 billion VND, the Taycan 4S Cross Turismo version has a price of 5.71 billion VND and the most powerful version Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo has a price of 7.51 billion VND.
All prices of the 2024 Porsche Taycan are base prices, excluding personalization options. Because the brand is positioned higher than luxury brands, in the Vietnamese market, the Porsche Taycan has no direct competitors. The pure electric sedans closest to the Taycan are the Audi e-tron GT (priced at VND 3.95-4.99 billion), BMW i7 (priced at VND 7.199 billion) and Mercedes EQS (priced at VND 4.839-5.959 billion).
