Through the land of golden sunshine and green wind

Many years ago, this place was just a hot, windy, arid land, but now the value of Ninh Thuan has increased many times with green destinations on the world tourism map. Looking back nearly 30 years ago, to get to Ninh Thuan from the North or from the South, the best way was to buy a sleeper ticket on the train. The most memorable memory for me at that time was the sweltering heat at noon when the train stopped at Thap Cham station to take on water and coal, the image of a few abandoned steam locomotives in a corner of the station or rows of bushes growing on sandy soil... 30 years later, my memories of the hot, windy, arid land seemed to have faded when I landed at Cam Ranh airport and headed to Ninh Thuan. Along both sides of the road were lush green grape fields, lush rice fields, white salt fields, dotted above with rows of giant wind turbine blades printed against the deep blue sky and mountains. Wide roads lead to famous tourist attractions such as Nui Chua National Park, Hang Rai, ancient stone park, Vinh Hy Bay or Poklong Garai Cham tower...
