On the evening of June 12, the Department of Rescue and Relief (General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army) - Office of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee, said: Implementing the telegram of the Prime Minister and the General Staff on responding to storm No. 1, the Border Guards of provinces and cities from Quang Ninh to Phu Yen coordinated with localities, families and ship owners to notify, count and guide all vehicles operating in Vietnam's waters to know the developments and direction of the storm to proactively move away from the dangerous area.

Specifically: In the North East Sea area (including Hoang Sa archipelago), there are 76 ships/371 people; in other areas, there are 7,255 ships/25,807 people; the number of ships anchored at ports is 46,461. The force on duty to respond to storm No. 1 includes more than 65,500 officers and soldiers on duty and nearly 200,000 militia and self-defense forces; on duty means include 3,338 cars, 111 ships, 1,437 boats, canoes, 428 special vehicles and 7 planes.

According to the Rescue Department, on June 12, Coast Guard Region 2 promptly rescued and brought 3 damaged fishing boats of fishermen to a safe location. Quang Ngai Provincial Border Guard supported bringing 3 crew members on fishing boat NA 94031 TS (with damaged rudder, water entering the boat) to shore. Hai Phong City Border Guard coordinated with fishermen to rescue 10 crew members of boat TH 92228 TS that hit a reef and was at risk of sinking, and brought them safely to shore...
