On the morning of May 27, the People's Committee of Hai Chau 1 Ward (Hai Chau District) inaugurated a cashless street on Le Duan Street to promote digital transformation, create a healthy and safe payment environment; encourage people, businesses and enterprises in the area to use cashless payments.

Previously, the People's Committee of Hai Chau 1 Ward conducted a survey and guided businesses and business households on Le Duan Street to implement and set up tools, applications, e-wallets, QR codes... to make payments to ensure that units do not use cash during transactions.
Up to now, 100% of businesses and enterprises have actively responded to the implementation of the "Cashless Payment Street" model on Le Duan Street.
On the sidelines of the event, Hai Chau 1 Ward organized many more activities to respond to World Environment Day on June 5, such as presenting 40 trees to representatives of 33 residential groups and 7 schools; cycling around the ward to promote propaganda andeducation among the people, union members, and association members, gradually changing awareness, attitudes, and behaviors regarding cashless payments and environmental protection.
Starting from May 27, every 3 months, the Ward People's Committee will continue to give 40 trees to units and organizations aiming to plant 800-1,000 trees by 2025 in the Project "Building a smart, creative Hai Chau 1 ward to promote unique culture".
