The 10th meeting of the Vietnam - Holy See Joint Working Group was co-chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang , Head of the Vietnamese delegation, and Deputy Foreign Minister of the Holy See, Msgr. Miroslaw Wachowski, Head of the Holy See delegation.
At the meeting, the two sides exchanged views in a spirit of friendship, understanding and mutual respect on the situation of Vietnam - Holy See relations and issues related to the Catholic Church in Vietnam.
Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang affirmed that Vietnam consistently implements the policy of respecting and ensuring people's freedom of belief and religion; authorities at all levels always pay attention to and create favorable conditions for the activities of religions, including Catholicism.

The Deputy Minister suggested that the Holy See pay attention to and guide the Vietnamese Catholic community to stay close to and accompany the State and people, contribute to the overall development of the country, promote the good cultural and ethical values of Catholicism, thereby contributing to the development of the Vietnam - Holy See relationship.
Vatican Deputy Foreign Minister Miroslaw Wachowski affirmed that the Holy See always wants the Catholic Church in Vietnam to operate according to Vietnamese law and actively contribute to the country's development in the spirit of the Church's teachings "living the Gospel in the heart of the nation" and "good parishioners must be good citizens".

The two sides assessed that the Vietnam-Holy See relationship has made much progress in recent times, including regular contacts and consultations, exchanges of high-level delegations between Vietnam and the Holy See, as well as regular pastoral visits by the non-resident Representative and Special Envoy of the Holy See, Archbishop Marek Zalewski.
The two sides discussed and basically agreed on the Regulations on the operations of the Holy See Resident Representative and the Holy See Resident Representative Office in Vietnam.
On this occasion, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang and the delegation had a meeting with Holy See Foreign Minister Paul Gallagher.
In April 2022, the Vatican's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Monsignor Miroslaw Wachowski, visited Vietnam to attend and co-chair the 9th meeting of the Vietnam-Holy See Joint Working Group in Hanoi .
