Lisa's (Blackpink) Met Gala 2025 debut created an "earthquake" in the fashion world, not only because of her gorgeous appearance but also because of the controversy surrounding the outfit from Louis Vuitton.
However, despite mixed opinions, one item in the outfit quickly "sold out" on the brand's online platforms.

At the Met Gala, Lisa wore a lace bodysuit with a jacket designed by Louis Vuitton Creative Director Pharrell Williams.
The controversial part of the bodysuit is the lower part, which is embroidered with a human portrait. Initially, many assumed it was an image of a civil rights activist, leading to criticism for disrespect and historical distortion.
Louis Vuitton later clarified that the pattern on the bodysuit was not a human rights activist, but rather a portrait of people close to artist Henry Taylor, who collaborated with Pharrell Williams on the design.
However, this explanation still did not completely appease the mixed reactions of public opinion.
Despite the controversy, the Louis Vuitton Monogram Takeover Tights that Lisa wore at the event quickly sold out on the official website and in stores in many markets, including the US and Vietnam.
It is worth mentioning that the product is not cheap for a pair of tights, 495 USD (equivalent to about 13 million VND).
The fact that a controversial item is still sought after and "sold out" after Lisa wore it at the 2025 Met Gala is clear proof of her influence in the fashion industry.
The outfit may have caused mixed opinions, but there's no denying its ability to create trends and public interest in what Lisa wears.
