Hue's Ngo Mon Gate will be transformed by technology from the French Republic
At the beginning of the press conference, French Ambassador to Vietnam Olivier Brochet sent his condolences to the people of Hue City who suffered property and life losses in the recent floods.
Mr. Olivier said that the relationship between France and Vietnam has had many positive changes over the past 50 years, gradually becoming important partners in many fields, especially culture and education.
The French Ambassador hopes that the Hue By Light program will be a new milestone to bring the relationship between France and Thua Thien Hue province further.

The program is implemented by AC3 Studio (the unit responsible for lighting part of the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics) with artists, experts, and 3D mapping lighting technology from the French Republic.
During the performance, French artists will use a projection system with a brightness of 300,000 lumens (light output) to project onto the ancient Ngo Mon relic, creating surreal 3D visual effects. Images of Ngo Mon covered in white snow, legendary animals such as dragons and phoenixes flapping their wings and flying up from Ngu Phung tower will be created by 3D mapping art during the performance.
Combined with musical performances by famous artists from the French Republic and Vietnam, it promises to bring the audience a unique and unprecedented art performance in Hue.
Collaboration to turn 3D mapping performance into tourism product
Mr. Félix Arguillere, technology director of AC3 Studio, said that the art of 3D mapping light performance on architectural works is not new in the world.
Especially in Hue on the opening night of Hue Festival 2022, the public also witnessed artists performing this art form.
"However, this time we will bring the audience a special performance, never seen before in Hue, with projection art and music as the center. We will bring to the audience our perspective - the French artists - on the wonderful culture of Vietnam," said Mr. Félix.
Mr. Olivier Brochet said that the French 3D mapping projection technology has been performed in many places around the world. Mr. Olivier hopes that in the near future, he will cooperate with Thua Thien Hue province to turn the 3D mapping performance on Ngo Mon Gate on the evening of December 12 into a unique tourism product of this province.

France is ready to support Vietnam in repatriating antiquities.
Mr. Olivier Brochet said that the French Republic is always open and ready to cooperate with the Vietnamese Government in repatriating antiquities currently on French soil. The French Ambassador also expressed his joy after assisting Vietnam in successfully repatriating the Emperor's golden seal.
However, Mr. Olivier said that the repatriation of antiquities must be carefully considered on a case-by-case basis because most of the information and documents related to antiquities in France are extremely complicated.
