Midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai and his representative have finalized the agreement to join the Hanoi Police Club. The player born in 1997 will wear the capital team's shirt for the rest of the season. Thus, after only 1 year playing football abroad, Quang Hai has returned to Vietnam to compete. At the Hanoi Police Club, Quang Hai promises to receive high treatment, even unprecedentedly high in the history of domestic player income.
The contract between Hanoi Police and Quang Hai lasts for 2.5 years.
Although he was not successful at Pau FC, Quang Hai is still a top star of Vietnamese football. The player from Dong Anh debuted in the V-League in the 2016 season and was used regularly in the squad of many talented players of Hanoi Club. In the 2017 V-League, Quang Hai played all 26 matches and was voted the best young player of the tournament. In the 2018 season, Quang Hai played 19 matches, scored 9 goals, won the title of best player of the V-League, and also won the Vietnam Golden Ball.

From the 2019 to 2022 season, although he did not always play explosively, Quang Hai was still the core in the playing style of Hanoi Club. The 26-year-old midfielder played an important role in both the club and the national team. Quang Hai won the V-League 3 times, the National Super Cup 3 times and the National Cup 2 times, all in the Hanoi Club shirt.
The presence of Quang Hai promises to help Hanoi Police Club upgrade the squad which already has many stars such as Van Hau, Tan Tai, Van Thanh, Van Duc, Trong Long, Van Vu, Xuan Nam,... The performance of the Vietnam national team in the past 2 matches shows that despite not playing regularly, Quang Hai still has a good feeling for the ball, plays aggressively, has impressive tactical vision and a unique left foot. Hanoi Police Club is currently second in the V-League 2023 table with 21 points after 11 matches, 1 point behind the top team Thanh Hoa Club.
Coach Flavio Cruz's team is full of opportunities to win the V-League, just 1 year after promotion, if they maintain their form and Quang Hai shines again.
