According to Dai Lanh commune authorities, on June 12-13, the circulation of storm No. 1 caused very heavy rain, causing flooding on the Con River. By the morning of June 14, local authorities discovered that the second span of the old Ha Tan bridge had completely collapsed, and the road surface at the eastern bridge abutment had completely peeled off.
Dai Lanh Commune People's Committee has set up barriers and blockaded both ends of the old Ha Tan bridge; notified people to completely stop traffic through the old Ha Tan bridge and switch all traffic to the new Ha Tan bridge.
Because the structure of the old Ha Tan bridge is weak and unstable, the People's Committee of Dai Lanh commune also recommends that people not be curious, focus on filming and taking pictures in the old Ha Tan bridge area to ensure safety of life.
The latest report of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue of Quang Nam province shows that in this flood caused by storm No. 1, through a quick summary of the situation from localities, the total area of crops flooded and affected is about 16,742 hectares, of which the flooded rice area is about 15,892 hectares, the area of crops such as corn, vegetables, beans of all kinds... flooded, fell about 849 hectares.
In addition, about 750 houses were flooded in Dai Hung, Dai Lanh, Dai Son, Dai Hong communes (Dai Loc district); many roads were deeply flooded. Phu Loc pontoon bridge in Dai An commune, Dai Loc district, crossing villages 9, 10 (old), Dai Cuong commune, helping people travel and produce, was washed away by water.
In Dong Giang district, many residential areas suffered landslides that affected the structure of houses (wall cracks, subsidence, etc.) in the communes of Song Kon, A Rooi, Ta Lu, A Ting, and Prao town, directly affecting 28 households. However, the extent of damage was not too serious and local authorities mobilized local forces to overcome the situation.
In Tay Giang district, Gari commune has 4 houses with landslides and 1 house with its roof blown off; Tr'hy commune has 1 house with subsidence and cracked walls; Ch'om commune has 1 house with its roof blown off and 2 houses with landslides on the positive slope, 2 houses with landslides on the negative slope...
