Quang Nam launches Workers' Month 2025

Attending the launching ceremony were Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy Dung - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department and leaders of departments, branches and sectors of Quang Nam province.

Mr. Phan Xuan Quang - Chairman of Quang Nam Labor Federation said that the Workers' Month 2025 has the theme "Vietnamese workers pioneering into a new era" and the Action Month on occupational safety and hygiene 2025 has the theme "Strengthening assessment, identifying hazards and risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace". Response activities will be carried out from May 1 to May 31, 2025.

"During Workers' Month, trade unions at all levels need to invest and implement a variety of activities aimed at workers; practically care for and protect the rights and interests of workers. At the same time, strengthen the work of developing union members and building a working class to meet the tasks in the new period," said Mr. Quang.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy Dung - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department said that in recent years, Workers' Month and Action Month on occupational safety and hygiene have been launched with many practical activities, creating a widespread influence, leaving a strong impression in caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.

Labor safety, hygiene, and fire prevention work are effectively implemented by grassroots unions in coordination with enterprises, contributing to reducing labor accidents during the production process.

"During Workers' Month, I suggest that trade unions at all levels focus on propaganda and education on the policies of the Party and State. Continue to innovate the content and form of organizing emulation movements, encourage workers and laborers to promote their mastery and take the lead in economic and social development movements," said Ms. Dung.

At the launching ceremony, Quang Nam Labor Federation awarded 500 support packages to disadvantaged workers, each worth 1 million VND.
