Delegates attending the session.
Based on the submission from the Provincial People's Committee, the verification report from the Economic and Budget Committee, the explanation from the Department of Planning and Investment, and the opinions discussed by the delegates of the Provincial People's Council at the session, the Provincial People's Council discussed and decided to allocate 160 billion VND from the provincial budget for 2024 (phase 3) to implement the National Target Program for New Rural Development for 13 communes striving to achieve new rural standards in the 2024-2025 period.
It is known that the total public investment plan for 2024 to implement the National Target Program for building new rural areas and a number of other programs and projects is over 410 billion VND. The allocated capital (phases 1 and 2) is nearly 218 billion VND.

The delegates voted to approve the resolution.
The Quang Ngai Provincial People's Council also discussed and voted on resolutions such as: supplementing the 2024 revenue and expenditure budget from foreign non-refundable aid sources with an amount of over 19 billion VND; and approving the policy of converting rice cultivation land to other purposes in Quang Ngai province.
At the session, the Provincial People's Council delegates discussed and voted to approve a resolution on the dismissal of Mr. Dang Van Minh from his position as a delegate of the Provincial People's Council, 13th term, 2021-2026, and as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, 2021-2026 term.
In her closing remarks at the session, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council of Quang Ngai, Bui Thi Quynh Van, requested the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies, units, and localities to review the progress of key projects in the province in conjunction with the public investment plan and budget management.
Regarding the delay in handing over the land for the North-South Expressway Eastern section project, the Provincial People's Committee needs to direct localities to review the issues and obstacles and report them to the Provincial Party Standing Committee for guidance and resolution.
For issues that have been thoroughly addressed but where the people still lack consensus, local authorities need to persistently promote and persuade them, without delay; because this is a key national project involving many localities.
