Leaders of Quang Ngai and Kon Tum provinces exchanged views on the sidelines of the conference to implement the central government's policy on merging the provincial-level administrative units of Quang Ngai and Kon Tum, which took place on the morning of April 15th at the Kon Plong District Party Committee hall (Kon Tum).
According to the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, developing a plan for transporting officials and employees when commuting between Kon Tum and Quang Ngai for work is essential to ensure safety, efficiency, and time savings.
Because Quang Ngai and Kon Tum are mountainous areas with limited transportation, without suitable transportation options, officials and employees may face difficulties in commuting, affecting their health, morale, and work progress. Providing transportation ensures proactive scheduling, reduces the risk of traffic accidents, and enhances organizational discipline. At the same time, it demonstrates the government's concern for the lives and welfare of officials and employees, contributing to improved morale and internal cohesion.
Quang Ngai and Kon Tum are mountainous areas with limited transportation infrastructure. Therefore, providing vehicles to meet the travel needs of officials and employees after the reorganization of provincial-level administrative units is absolutely essential.
According to the plan for transporting officials and civil servants to and from work after the merger of Quang Ngai and Kon Tum provinces (with the administrative center located in Quang Ngai province), it is projected that approximately 950 officials, civil servants, and public employees will be involved, including about 150 individuals under the management of the Provincial Party Standing Committee.
To accommodate the transportation of officials and employees traveling between Kon Tum and Quang Ngai for work, Quang Ngai province has proposed three options. Specifically, Option 1: daily transportation; Option 2: transportation at the beginning and end of the week; Option 3: flexible operation on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Regarding transportation arrangements: 150 comrades under the management of the Provincial Party Standing Committee will use official vehicles belonging to their respective agencies and units for transportation, according to the regulations on the use of official vehicles based on their positions.
For the remaining approximately 800 civil servants (only about 70% are expected to travel collectively, around 560 people), arrange transportation that meets quality requirements for centralized transport according to a specific schedule.
Speaking at the conference to implement the Central Committee's policy on merging the provincial-level administrative units of Quang Ngai and Kon Tum, Bui Thi Quynh Van, Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee.
According to Comrade Bui Thi Quynh Van, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council of Quang Ngai, in addition to arranging transportation, the Standing Committee of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee has concluded that the Party Committee and the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province should direct and review the facilities to ensure accommodation and meals for cadres and Party members from Kon Tum province when they come to work at the political and administrative center of Quang Ngai province, as well as take care of the education of their children who accompany them.
“The Department of Construction and the Department of Finance must immediately identify which buildings can be used to provide housing for officials and Party members of Kon Tum province. From there, they must submit an accurate report to the Provincial Party Standing Committee next week. If any building needs repair or upgrading, it must be done immediately and completed before the new provincial headquarters officially opens on September 1st. The Department of Education and Training must calculate the size of schools and classrooms to ensure that the children of officials and Party members of Kon Tum province can attend school,” Comrade Bui Thi Quynh Van noted.
