393 100% OCOP products were given barcodes and QR codes by the Quang Ninh provincial authorities and put on e-commerce platforms. Thereby, contributing to boosting consumption for OCOP entities.

On August 6, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province held an online meeting to review and evaluate the implementation of the "Quang Ninh OCOP Program" in 7 months and deploy tasks for the last months of 2024.

According to information given at the meeting, up to now, the whole Quang Ninh province has 393 OCOP products (One Commune One Product Program) of 13 districts, towns and cities with 3-5 stars with 218 production entities. Of which, 100% of OCOP products with 3-5 stars are put on e-commerce platforms. Recently, packaging and labels of OCOP products have been constantly improved and upgraded as well as have full information according to regulations. In addition, 100% of OCOP products have been issued barcodes and QR codes to facilitate consumption and traceability. At the meeting, departments, branches and localities focused on discussing to develop stable OCOP products of Quang Ninh province. The contents include: Planning production growing areas; Controlling and protecting product brands; Using capital to support production and creating product linkage chains; Improve the quality of OCOP monitoring team; Market access; OCOP product production process.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong - Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial OCOP Program Steering Committee, requested departments, branches and localities to continue to strengthen coordination, support and widely propagate to OCOP product producers to proactively improve product quality, design and packaging. In addition, continue to review and implement loan support from the Social Policy Bank according to Resolution 111/2024/QH15 on a number of specific mechanisms and policies to implement national target programs to develop OCOP products. At the same time, promote industrial and agricultural promotion, promote and advertise products at points of sale. Link digital transformation with finding and expanding consumption markets for OCOP products.
