Quang Ninh promotes tourism in Korea with the message: "One destination - Two heritages"

The tourism promotion event “Shape of Quang Ninh” organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province in collaboration with APC Corporation and the Global Tourism Development Organization (GTDO) officially took place at The Shilla Hotel – one of the most luxurious hotel symbols in Korea.

The program is a key activity in the international tourism promotion campaign of Quang Ninh province in 2025, aiming to connect the Quang Ninh market (Vietnam) with the Korean travel business community, thereby expanding the potential for bilateral cooperation and enhancing the presence of Vietnamese tourism in one of the key markets in Asia.

Participating in the event were Vietnamese tourism and travel businesses such as: Ambassador Cruise, Legacy Yen Tu - MGallery, Novotel Ha Long Bay, Saquila Cruise, A La Carte Ha Long Bay Hotel, Citadines Marina Ha Long, Oakwood Ha Long Center, Wyndham Legend Ha Long & Wyndham Soleil Ha Long, FLC Ha Long Bay Golf Club & Luxury Resort, The Yacht by DC, Luna Ha Long Cruise, Ngoc Rong Cave.

Promote and market Quang Ninh tourism to the Korean market.

The event also brought together more than 120 leading Korean travel agencies, creating conditions for Vietnamese travel agencies to establish connections, expand cooperation and jointly build effective market access strategies in the new development stage. This is also an opportunity to introduce diverse tourism products at competitive prices, suitable for the tastes and increasing needs of Korean tourists.

With the main message “One destination – Two heritages”, the event introduced Quang Ninh as a destination converging two world heritages: Ha Long Bay – a world natural heritage recognized by UNESCO, with rare majestic landscapes and Yen Tu – a special spiritual cultural heritage, associated with Truc Lam Zen, a symbol of the depth of Eastern culture. These are two heritage pillars that create the distinct identity of Quang Ninh, helping visitors not only admire the majestic nature, but also experience the journey of discovering the spirit and culture of Vietnam.

In addition, Quang Ninh also introduced many new and more diverse products at this tourism promotion event, notably a show including cuisine in Ngoc Rong Cave - a terrestrial cave that has been open to visitors since June.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Ninh Van Thuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province emphasized: “Quang Ninh wishes to continue expanding cooperation, promoting connections with travel partners, airlines and Korean tourism businesses in the coming time and commits to welcoming Korean tourists with quality tourism products, professional services and a safe and friendly environment. We are also always open to investment cooperation opportunities in the field of tourism-resort-services”.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Son, Representative of the Global Tourism Promotion Organization (GTDO), shared why Quang Ninh was chosen in the journey to promote destinations: “Quang Ninh is not only mentioned for its world-famous tourism symbols such as Ha Long Bay, Yen Tu or Bai Tu Long Bay, but also for its constantly developing identity. Quang Ninh is now a destination of innovation, depth and diversity - with new services such as cuisine and art experiences at Ngoc Rong Cave, health retreats at Quang Hanh, and island ecological experiences that are setting a new standard for experiential and high-value tourism. Quang Ninh is ready to cooperate, innovate and develop together with advanced tourism markets such as Korea”.

Within the framework of the program, business connection activities (B2B) took place enthusiastically, with the participation of more than 200 travel companies, units organizing tours for Korean tourists abroad, and many typical tourism and accommodation businesses of Quang Ninh.

Quang Ninh tourism businesses participated in introducing a series of outstanding products and services such as: 5-star cruise overnight on Ha Long Bay; Experience meditation - mental health care at Legacy Yen Tu - MGallery; International hotel chain with resort, entertainment, conference ecosystem (MICE); Golf - resort - cultural discovery packages exclusively for the Korean market.

“We do not introduce Yen Tu as a single destination, we invite you to join a larger vision - a more complete journey for visitors. That is why we are proud to introduce “One journey - Two heritages”. Yen Tu and Ha Long Bay - two UNESCO-recognized heritages, each with its own charm but with a consistent message, common brand and unified communication,” said a representative of Legacy Yen Tu - MGallery.

Korean business representative - Mr. Kim Jong Hoon (Team Manager) of Mode Tour shared: “We see that Quang Ninh is changing strongly with high-quality products, suitable for the resort trend combining cultural and natural experiences that Korean tourists love. The event is a great meeting opportunity for service providers to discuss, exchange and promote the destination. Hopefully, we will be able to attend more often”.

At the end of the program, Mr. Pham Khac Tuyen, Commercial Counselor of the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea, commented: “Today's event is a clear demonstration of the dynamism, creativity and determination to integrate of Quang Ninh province as well as Vietnamese tourism businesses. With the participation of many Korean partners and media units, I believe that the event will open up many opportunities for practical and sustainable cooperation between businesses of the two countries.”

The event “Shape of Quang Ninh” is not only an image promotion activity, but also demonstrates the long-term strategy of Quang Ninh province in developing tourism products associated with heritage-nature-culture values, through close connection with the international market.
