Accordingly, houses with blown-off roofs are concentrated in communes such as Tuyen Lam commune with 80 houses; Nam Ba Don commune with 100 houses; Quang Trach commune with 119 houses and 2 school roofs; Dong Trach commune with 39 houses with blown-off roofs, 1 kindergarten and 1 cultural house with blown-off roofs...
Storm No. 10 also injured 5 people; of which 1 person was in Bo Trach commune; 3 people were in Tuyen Hoa commune; and 1 person was in Vinh Dinh commune.
During storm No. 10, 12 people went missing, including TTĐ (born in 2009), residing in Kim Phu commune, who was swept away by floodwaters; 2 crew members on ship BV 4670-TS ( Ho Chi Minh City) who went missing in a shipwreck in Cua Viet waters; 9 crew members on 2 fishing boats BV-92756-TS and BV-92754-TS who were swept away at Gianh port.
Storm No. 10 also caused complicated landslides on river banks and coastal dykes.
The Kien Giang river bank through Loc Thuong village, Le Thuy commune, eroded about 30m. In Trieu Binh commune, the Vinh Dinh river bank eroded 600m; of which, through Quang Dien village, 300m affected traffic roads and irrigation canals; through Van Hoa village, 2 points, 300m long, affected 17 households...
Sea dyke and coastal erosion occurred in many localities, including Vinh Hoang commune with sea dyke erosion in Thai Lai village with a length of about 20m; Trieu Co commune with coastal erosion in village 5 with a length of about 150m.
In Cua Tung commune, the left dike of Ben Hai was eroded in many places, especially at Km0+180, the landslide was about 8m long, 5m wide, and 2.5m deep into the dike body. Erosion of the lime kiln beach embankment: 25m. Ninh Chau commune experienced landslides along the coast with a length of about 200m (Hien Trung area) and there is a risk of landslides of the sandbank embankment with a length of about 150m (Tan Hai village) and the embankment downstream of the sandbank with a length of about 20m (Cua Thon village). In Ben Hai commune, landslides along the coast with a length of about 2,000m and a depth of about 2-3m.
In the past 24 hours, Quang Tri has had very heavy rain, with average rainfall of 80-200mm; the highest places: Huong Son 226mm, Tan Lam 237mm. Currently, floods on rivers have peaked and are slowly receding, except for Gianh River in Mai Hoa which is rising slowly.
In order to stabilize people's lives soon, the local government is currently coordinating with functional forces to urgently cut down and clear fallen trees on the roads; support people to reinforce and re-roof their houses. At the same time, inspect and count the damage to have a timely support plan for the people. The electricity sector has urgently mobilized forces and means to fix broken power lines and poles to quickly restore power to areas that have lost power.
At the same time, grassroots medical forces proactively carry out environmental sanitation and disease prevention after the storm; border guards, army and police continue to closely monitor the area, support people to stabilize their lives and ensure security and order.
