Quang Tri: Warning about scams involving participation in the "Semester in the Military" program.

This afternoon, April 1st, information from the Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union indicated that, after receiving information, the unit issued a warning about a group of individuals impersonating members of the Provincial Military Command and the Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union to organize a "Summer Semester in the Army" program for the upcoming summer, with the aim of defrauding participants.

Accordingly, some parents contacted the Provincial Youth Union to report the incident, stating that a group of individuals were sending messages via phone, Zalo, and Facebook inviting them to participate in the "Military Summer Camp" program in 2025. These individuals claimed to be from the Provincial Military Command and the Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union, and that they were planning to organize the program this coming summer. These social media pages also offered discounts for early registrations, with fees starting from 3.7 million VND.

However, the leaders of the Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union affirmed that currently, the unit and the Provincial Military Command have no plans to implement the "Semester in the Army" program due to various objective reasons. They also advised parents to carefully research information from official organizations to avoid being scammed.

Official information regarding the aforementioned program will be published on the Provincial Youth Union's website and Facebook fanpage. If any signs of fraud are detected, citizens should immediately report it to the police or the Provincial Youth Union for assistance.
