"Endless Summer" is a film project for teenagers, about the desire to express themselves of school youth, produced by 9PM Media, sponsored by Literature and Arts Times, and organized by Digital Media Group - TTS, with the support of many sponsors and art support units.
The film has martial arts consulting by NAMA Nhat Anh, set in a school setting and the journey of maturity of 10-year-old Gia Huy when he transfers to a new school where Gia Huy's uncle works.
Huy quickly stood out with his basketball skills and gifted singing voice, and was nominated as the main vocalist for the student band to replace Bao Long - a student who was "other people's child" but was always pressured by the high expectations from his family.
The simmering conflict erupted into tragedy when Long – out of jealousy and influenced by negative comments – hired someone to kidnap Gia Huy before the school's big performance. However, the plan spiraled out of control when Long and Laisha (a classmate) were also dragged into the incident. The three seemingly opposing children were forced to unite, overcome danger, and find a way to escape the kidnappers together.
Courage, empathy and team spirit helped the three friends overcome both the bad guys and their own fears. Finally, the group returned to the stage to perform the song "Endless Summer" to cheers - a brilliant and touching end to the eventful summer journey.
Not only is it an adventure story, the film carries a profound message about friendship, forgiveness and the value of maturity. Under the direction of Nguyen Hai Kai, with modern cinematic language combined with emotional soundtrack, "Endless Summer" touches the hearts of viewers with the purity and sincerity of school age.
Writer and journalist Hoang Du, Editor-in-Chief of the Literature and Arts Times, Chairman of Viet Art Film Studio, shared: "Developing literature and arts for children has always been a concern of the Party, the State and the Union of Literature and Arts Associations. Creating a space for artistic creation so that children can truly be the owners of that playground, expressing their aspirations and creative abilities is the foundation for talents to be nurtured and have the opportunity to develop. From this first children's film project, Viet Art Film, the Literature and Arts Times and TTS will continue to coordinate with investors and film crews to have many quality short films and children's movies that can spread and inspire the younger generation, contributing to the development of literature and arts for children, by children themselves."
The film is shown in theaters nationwide.
