The birth of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association was a historic turning point in the Vietnamese revolution, a direct political, ideological and organizational preparation for the birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam . The Association created a core cadre team with theoretical qualifications and practical experience, ready to shoulder the responsibility of leading the revolution.

The book "Telling Uncle Ho's Story" tells about the period when Nguyen Ai Quoc founded the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association as follows: "At the end of 1924, at Mr. Nguyen's request to return to the Fatherland to work, the Executive Committee of the Communist International decided to send him to China. Here, he sought to gather Vietnamese people in China to spread patriotism and revolutionary ideas, and established the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association. He also published the Thanh Nien newspaper as a propaganda tool for the Association. The activities of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association began to spread into the country. Many Vietnamese youths were secretly sent to Guangzhou to attend training courses organized by Mr. Nguyen. After finishing their studies, they secretly returned to the country, spread the theory of national liberation, mobilized and organized the masses".
