The seminar is an opportunity for Lang Son province to promote and introduce preferential policies and mechanisms to attract investment in the province; promote cooperation; and share experiences in managing and developing geoparks.
Attending the seminar were leaders of the Institute of Geosciences and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment , Head of the Specialized Subcommittee on Vietnam Global Geoparks; Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy , Deputy Secretary General of the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO.

At the seminar, the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion introduced the goals of preserving, embellishing and promoting the value of Lang Son UNESCO Global Geopark in the period of 2025-2030, with a vision to 2035; preferential policies and mechanisms to attract investment into the province.
Experts, managers, and domestic and international partners exchanged and discussed the overall development strategy of the Geopark region based on the reference model of the effective UNESCO Global Geopark Management Board in the world.

At the seminar, experts also proposed a suitable management model for Vietnam in general and for Lang Son province in particular.
Travel agencies and tourism businesses participating in the discussion also proposed solutions to build and develop interactive experience tours, tourism products based on geological heritage combined with culture and ecology; apply smart digital technology in digitization and communication, and promote tourism on digital platforms.
The seminar also affirmed the role of stakeholders in training to raise awareness of geological values and develop green, sustainable tourism.

On that basis, Lang Son province builds a plan to develop adventure tourism associated with sustainable conservation to create momentum for tourism development.
Experts also discussed a multi-channel communication strategy to promote Lang Son UNESCO Global Geopark, attracting domestic and international visitors.
The presented opinions and contributions are of great significance, helping Lang Son province improve the quality of state management of the Geopark, towards developing a dynamic and sustainable UNESCO Global Geopark, passing on heritage to future generations in accordance with the spirit of the World Heritage Convention.
The development of Lang Son UNESCO Global Geopark is also associated with tourism development in the direction of green growth by Lang Son province, ensuring harmony between conservation and development, so that the heritage is truly the property of the community, protected by the community and for the community.

On this occasion, the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Lang Son province also signed a cooperation agreement with 31 strategic partners of the UNESCO Lang Son Global Geopark.
