Yen Bai: Technical traffic opening of Nguyen Tat Thanh-Au Co connecting road

On the morning of June 29, in Van Phu commune, Yen Bai city, the People's Committee of Yen Bai province held a ceremony to open the technical traffic of the road connecting Nguyen Tat Thanh to Au Co street. This is a key traffic infrastructure project to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee (June 30, 1945 - June 30, 2025).

The project has a total investment of 275.5 billion VND, from loans from the World Bank. The project is 4.2km long, 50m wide, the route is designed with a complete drainage system, domestic water supply, wastewater treatment, green tree system, lighting, built with high and modern technical standards, meeting the requirements of urban development, connecting the city center with the national tourist area of Thac Ba Lake.

The project carried out site clearance for 323 households, reclaiming 52.79 hectares of land.

Delegates participated in cutting the technical traffic ribbon.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Anh emphasized: The road project connecting Nguyen Tat Thanh to Au Co Street is not only a technical infrastructure but also has strategic significance in terms of politics , economy, national defense and security. The route will open up new development space for the locality, enhance regional connectivity, shorten travel time from Noi Bai-Lao Cai Expressway through IC12 to National Highway 37, National Highway 70 and especially the Thac Ba Lake national tourist area.

The opening of Nguyen Tat Thanh - Au Co route is an important milestone in the development of urban traffic infrastructure, contributing to realizing the goal of building a green, harmonious, unique and happy Yen Bai city.
