Dong Nai promotes the implementation of electronic medical records at medical facilities

The Department of Health has just held a meeting to listen to the introduction of the solution to deploy electronic medical records proposed by the Vietnam Medical Informatics Association. This is an activity to concretize Directive No. 07/CT-TTg dated March 14, 2025 of the Prime Minister on promoting the deployment of electronic medical records at medical examination and treatment facilities.

At the meeting, representatives of the Vietnam Medical Informatics Association presented a detailed roadmap for implementing electronic medical records, including 13 groups of tasks, from infrastructure survey, system setup, user synchronization, software deployment, digital signature integration, operational testing...

According to specialist doctor II Le Quang Trung, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, this is a solution suitable for the province's health sector, effectively supporting facilities that are not qualified to deploy electronic medical records. The Department of Health will continue to work with relevant units to complete the plan, agree on an implementation plan from the beginning of August 2025; at the same time, establish a specialized working group, striving to complete the implementation in the whole province before the end of 2025.
