Raphinha 's explosive season for Barcelona has just been recognised by La Liga, with the award for best player.
On June 6, La Liga announced that Raphinha was voted the best player, thanks to his important contributions to Barca.
The Brazilian striker received the award from La Liga, after surpassing another strong candidate, young talent Lamine Yamal.
La Liga noted that Raphinha “played brilliantly in all the important matches for the championship” .
In addition, Raphinha also won over other teammates such as Pedri and Robert Lewandowski, or top stars Kylian Mbappe - the tournament's top scorer (31 goals), Vinicius, Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Isco (Real Betis) and Sancet (Bilbao).
Raphinha was voted Player of the Month for August, the first monthly award of the season.
The former Leeds United player played 36 La Liga matches, including 32 starts, and is an indispensable member of Hansi Flick's tactics.
The 28-year-old star scored 18 goals and had 11 assists in La Liga (34 goals, 22 key passes in all competitions).
Previously, La Liga honored Hansi Flick with the award for best coach of the season, after leading Barcelona to the championship title (88 points, 4 points more than Real Madrid).
Barca finished Hansi Flick's first season with 28 wins, 4 draws and 6 losses, scoring 102 goals and conceding just 39.
During the season, Hansi Flick won the title of best coach of the month three times.
