Real plans to spend 150 million euros to welcome 2 new players

Real Madrid are ready to spend up to 150 million euros to recruit French central defender duo William Saliba and Ibrahima Konate.

According to Fichajes , these are two names identified as the core for the three-man defensive system that the Spanish Royal team is cherishing to deploy under coach Xabi Alonso.

The first target, Ibrahima Konate, is currently on the Liverpool payroll and has a contract until 2026. Although there has been no move to extend the contract from the Anfield team, Real Madrid are considering two options: either spend around 50 million euros to buy him this summer, or wait until Konate becomes a free player.

With his pace, acceleration and excellent anticipation, Konate is a perfect fit for Xabi Alonso's high-pressing, defensive system.

In contrast to Konate, the William Saliba deal is much more complicated. The Arsenal player is still under contract until 2027, and the Gunners have no intention of letting him go easily. However, Real Madrid are still willing to spend nearly 100 million euros to bring Saliba to the Bernabeu.

President Florentino Perez believes Saliba is the crucial piece to complete the team's young but classy defense, alongside Konate and young talent Dean Huijsen.
