The area around the lake in Ward 5 has been equipped with sports and fitness facilities to serve the exercise needs of the local people.
Introducing sports equipment not only effectively meets the people's need for physical training, but also attracts more and more people to participate in activities at public spaces, fostering community cohesion.
Ms. Le Thu Ba, residing in Hamlet 5, Ward 5, shared: “Previously, my friends and I often walked and exercised along Ton Duc Thang Street, but there was no space, so we often had to walk in the middle of the road, which was very dangerous. Since the lakeside area was renovated and equipped with exercise equipment, I choose this area every afternoon to walk and exercise. It's both convenient and safe.”
Not only the lakeside area in Ward 5, but also parks and community spaces throughout the city are now being equipped with outdoor sports and fitness equipment. According to the head of the Urban Management Department of Ca Mau City, investing in sports and fitness equipment is one of the criteria for a culturally advanced city, creating opportunities for residents to participate in physical training and contributing to the development of cultural life in residential areas.
