Ricky Martin and his same-sex partner reach divorce settlement.

According to legal documents obtained by People , Ricky Martin, the owner of the hit song "Livin' La Vida Loca, " has just signed a non-controversial written agreement regarding his divorce.

Ricky Martin (51 years old) and Jwan Yosef (38 years old) only need the judge's approval for everything to be settled amicably.

Last month, Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef announced their divorce, sharing this exclusive information with People .

The Puerto Rican superstar and the Swedish-Syrian artist stated: "We have decided to end our marriage with love, respect, and dignity for our children, and to honor what we have experienced as a couple during these wonderful years together."

The former couple further shared: "Our greatest wish now is to continue to have a healthy, active family and a relationship focused on peace and treating each other as friends so that we can continue to raise our children together, preserving the respect and love we have for each other."

They have two children: a daughter, Lucia (5 years old), and a son, Renn (4 years old). Previously, in 2008, Ricky Martin welcomed twin sons Matteo and Valentino via surrogacy.

Martin and Yosef first connected on Instagram in 2015, dating six months after their first in-person meeting in London. They made their official red carpet appearance at the amFAR Gala 2016, announced their engagement that same year, and married in 2018.

Shortly after revealing his divorce plans, Ricky Martin opened up to Telemundo Puerto about his decision to separate and his responsibilities as a parent to his daughter Lucia and son Renn.

The Grammy-winning musician said, "Jwan and I will always be a family. We have two children together and we will raise them together."

Ricky Martin further revealed the reason for the divorce: "This didn't happen spontaneously. We had been planning for this for a long time, before the pandemic. We experienced ups and downs, cried and laughed together. When the public found out, we went through a long and deeply painful process."
