With adjustments to their starting lineup, Saigon Heat quickly imposed their dominance from the first quarter with their fast-paced play and sharp counter-attacks. Effective steals and long passes helped "Mr. 30" quickly establish a large lead.

In that match, Nguyen Anh Kiet's energetic performance helped the home team close out the opening quarter with a 32-13 lead.
