Samsung Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra have fast charging error

(NLDO) - Although the phone screen displays fast charging, it takes Samsung Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra users several hours to fully charge the battery.

According to Android Police , many Galaxy S25 owners are reporting charging issues with their phones.

Specifically, Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra owners are complaining about slow charging and intermittent charging via the Samsung community, Reddit.

Most of the charging issues seem to be happening to people using Samsung's 45W charger along with the 5A USB-C cable that comes with the Galaxy S25. They take several hours to fully charge the battery, despite the phone displaying "Fast Charging 2.0" on the lock screen.

For some other users, the phone refuses to charge, constantly switching between connecting and disconnecting from the adapter.

Samsung Italia acknowledged the issue in early February 2025, saying it would fix it with an update in the near future. They also recommended that affected S25 users use the 3A cable that came with the phone instead of the 5A USB-C cable to charge.

This issue only affects wired fast charging and does not affect wireless charging. It also appears to only occur on the S25+ and S25 Ultra.

Samsung has released its first post-launch software update for the Galaxy S25 series. The official release notes mention charging improvements, but it's unclear whether the update fixes the issue.

Unless Samsung confirms it has released a fix, users will need to switch to a 3A USB-C cable and a 25-35W power adapter to charge their Galaxy S25+ or Ultra. Otherwise, super fast charging should be disabled.

According to records in Vietnam, regarding the fast charging issue on the Galaxy S25 + and S25 Ultra lines, no users have reported this problem.

Galaxy S25 Series officially launched in Vietnam on the evening of February 8, 2025. Major retail systems such as CellphoneS,FPT Shop, SamCenter, Viettel Store... simultaneously organized opening sales events with the participation of a large number of customers.
