During the first two days of competition at the My Dinh Aquatics Palace (Hanoi), 16-year-old swimmer Nguyen Thuy Hien excellently brought home for the Army team 4 individual gold medals and 2 relay silver medals.

Previously, on the opening day of the tournament, Nguyen Thuy Hien also made a strong impression when she won 2 gold medals in the women's 50m breaststroke and women's 100m freestyle. Fans hope that the Organizing Committee will identify and recognize Thuy Hien's national record-breaking achievement in the 50m breaststroke when her time of 32.29 seconds surpassed the old time of 32.46 seconds held by Pham Thi Hue.

After only 2 days of competition, the young girl of the Army team has in her hands 4 individual gold medals, and 2 relay silver medals. She can absolutely become one of the notable faces of this year's tournament when she also participates in some more distances and the possibility of achieving the best results is very promising.

At the 2025 Asian Championship which ended a few days ago in India, Thuy Hien - the youngest member of the Vietnamese swimming team - won 1 individual bronze medal and 1 relay bronze medal.

Not only Nguyen Thuy Hien, the green race of the National Championship also witnessed impressive performances from other swimmers, most of whom are national athletes, after only the first 2 days of competition. Jeremie Luong (HCMC) is the first male swimmer to win 4 gold medals in 2 individual distances (50m freestyle, 100m freestyle) and 2 relay distances.

Pham Thanh Bao ( Vinh Long ) affirmed his strength in the breaststroke distances when he came first in the men's 50m and 100m breaststroke races. Vo Thi My Tien (Tay Ninh) had no rivals in the women's 400m freestyle and 200m medley. This "pair of friends" has shone together in many tournaments, most recently at the 2025 Asian Championships when Thanh Bao won 1 silver medal, 2 bronze medals and My Tien also excellently won 1 silver medal and 3 bronze medals.

One of the notable faces at the tournament was Nguyen Huy Hoang, who just won 2 Asian gold medals. The Quang Tri native continued to perform solo in his signature distance, the men's 1,500m freestyle, with a time of 15 minutes 35 seconds 34, nearly 20 seconds slower than when he competed in India and 1 minute slower than the national record he set 6 years ago.
