According to the Hai Phong Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection, by October 6, 2025, more than 4,000 hectares of early-season rice in some localities west of Hai Phong including: Tan An, Khuc Thua Du, Hai Hung, Thanh Mien, Tran Phu, Nam An Phu, Bac An Phu... had basically completed harvesting to prepare for winter crop planting.
To harvest rice quickly and neatly, communes mobilize maximum combine harvesters; at the same time, some localities also use straw rollers to process straw, taking advantage of by-products to serve other production industries.
Previously, in areas with early-ripening rice, many communes mobilized farmers to harvest on time to avoid the effects of storm No. 11, which caused breakage and reduced productivity.

In the 2025 crop, the whole city will plant 80.76 hectares of rice, of which the early season tea area is not much, mainly concentrated in the western area of Hai Phong with an area of about 13,500 hectares (accounting for 16.7%). Early season tea in the eastern communes of Hai Phong only accounts for 3-5% of the total cultivated area.
Mid-season tea is planted on 60,850 hectares (accounting for 75.3%). In this tea, the rice plants are basically in the milky stage to the red-tail stage (the ratio of ripe grains/flowers is over 50%), farmers will focus on harvesting from October 10 to 25, 2025.
In addition, Hai Phong city has about 6,410 hectares of late-season tea, growing specialty sticky rice varieties such as yellow flower sticky rice, spiral sticky rice, and tangerine sticky rice, grown in concentrated areas in the following localities: Nguyen Dai Nang, Tran Lieu, Phu Thai, Kim Thanh, An Thanh, Chu Van An, Le Dai Hanh, Ha Bac, Ai Quoc, Lac Phuong, Chi Minh... for late-season harvest.
